OT Approved Gift Guide

I just loving buying gifts especially gifts that are functional and last many years. Toys have come a long way over the years but I am still a fan of simple is best. Most toys that are created today are all about rules, directions and only have one end goal. This can be good in moderation but it can stifle creativity and problem solving skills. Toys need to provide outlets for imagination, critical thinking skills, and overall development. As a pediatric OT and mom I am always looking for toys that are functional, target developmental milestones, grows with the child, and fosters creativity. I have compiled a guide of toys that meet my criteria and are perfect for the special child in your life. The guide consists of various age groups and provides gift ideas for all abilities. I hope my recommendations guide you to the right gift for the special child in your life. Happy shopping and happy holidays!

P.S. I am not affiliated with any of these products. These are simply just my recommendations of what I like to use in my therapy sessions and while playing with my son.
